The Tribute to Mayors was established by the Ibarra Strategy Group, formerly Mickey Ibarra & Associates, in 2002. The Latino Leaders Network™ convenes mayors at the US Conference of Mayors Winter and Summer meetings to get better acquainted with each other and to share common concerns. A Latino and African American mayor is honored for their efforts to bring both communities together and for their contributions. Past gatherings have taken place in Washington, Denver, Boston, Chicago, and Las Vegas.
